Who is this for?

You handle ops for a 4-person team answering chat questions over 18 Drive PDFs a day, and this Drive Q&A workflow reads and files for you. Each file needs opening, key fields copied, and the row filed for standup.

What problem does this solve?

You open each PDF, copy the key fields, then rename and file the row. When a chat message arrives, the flow extracts with OpenAI and Pinecone, answers from the docs, and files the result. You just scan the extracted row instead of retyping each file.

How it works

A chat message kicks it off → Question and Answer Chain.

Setup

1. Open danielgrey.shop/app/templates/dg-0030 → Copy JSON → n8n → Import from Clipboard (or Push to n8n)
2. Connect credentials: Google Drive, OpenAI, Pinecone
3. Run once manually to verify each branch — it imports clean and goes green first try — then a 10-minute review and activate.

Requirements

- n8n 1.50.0 or later
- Credentials for Google Drive, OpenAI, Pinecone
- Free — import and run.

Customising

- Point the Google Drive steps at your own folders and the ingest follows.
- Tune retrieval in Question and Answer Chain and Embeddings OpenAI for your doc types.
