This template is pre-tested for first-try import, keeps the Supabase lookup with Sheets audit and Slack alerts wired, and needs only a 10-minute reply review.

What problem does this solve?

Scrolling chats in Telegram, looking up history in Supabase, and drafting context replies with OpenAI takes ~5 min per chat by hand. On each new Telegram message this workflow runs Find User, branches on If User exists, and drafts via the OpenAI Assistant node with audit logging. You just triage the replies.

How it works

A new Telegram message kicks it off → Find User, If User exists, Merge, ending in Send Message to User.

Setup

1. Open danielgrey.shop/app/templates/dg-0024 → Copy JSON → n8n → Import from Clipboard (or Push to n8n)
2. Connect credentials: Google Sheets, OpenAI, Slack, Supabase, Telegram
3. Run once manually to verify each branch, then activate.

Customising

- Adjust the branch condition in If User exists to match your returning-customer rule.
- Map Create User fields to your Supabase columns and pick your assistant in OpenAI Assistant.

v2.0 (Sep 2026, n8n 2.x): Four raw Assistants-API calls collapsed into one OpenAI Assistant node — same assistant, same bot, no manual thread plumbing. Note: replies are single-shot per message now (no cross-message thread memory); per-user records stay in Supabase. Tested on n8n 2.37 (2.x).
